1. When is the best time to start looking for a nanny?

We usually recommend to start looking and interviewing prospective candidates about a month prior to the job’s starting date.

2. Is there an application fee to begin a search with A+ Domestic Agency?

We have absolutely no application fee, nor any other charges.

3. How do you find your applicants?

After so many successful placements we can proudly state that over 90% of our applicants are either return customers or personal referrals.

5. What should I expect my nanny to do?

All of our nannies perform childcare, driving upon request and light housekeeping that pertains to the children. Any other responsibilities should be negotiated on the interview.

6. Are you licensed and bonded?

Yes, we are licensed and bonded by the State of Illinois Department of Labor; our license number is 1865. 

7. What is the nationality of your staff?

Our staff is very diverse, ranging from Europe, Asia, Africa and North and South Americas.  

8. Can you provide me with any questionnaires for interviews?

Yes, we have many helpful forms for our clients to use. We provide you with interview questions, track records, as well as some sample contracts.

9. When do I pay the agency?

Our one time placement fee applies only after you hired our applicant, the due date is within 30 days from the employment’s starting date.

10. How often nannies get paid?

Nannies & Housekeepers are typically paid weekly or bi-weekly.

11. Do you recommend conducting a trial period with the prospective candidate?

We strongly recommend conducting a trial day or week with the applicant who you feel is best qualified. The pay for that day is usually at the job’s regular rate.  

12. Where do I conduct the interviews?

Interviews are always conducted at your house, preferably with both parents and children present. That way you get to see the nanny’s interaction with the entire family.

13. Do you provide me with written profile for a nanny?

To make the process even more convenient, we provide you with a written resume/profile on each applicant; it includes personal information, education and employment history.
